About the Optimist Club of Great Falls, VA

The Optimist Club of Great Falls, VA The Optimist Club of Great Falls, VA, is a community service organization dedicated to meeting the needs of young people . We’ve been working with kids in Great Falls and the surrounding area since XXXXXXXXXXXXX. Optimist Clubs are members of Optimist International, a worldwide service organization dedicated to serving the youth in local communities, and have been "bringing out the best in children" since 1919. By believing in young people and empowering them to be the best they can, Optimist volunteers continually make this world a better place to live. There are 100,000 individual Members who belong to more than 3,100 autonomous Clubs. Optimists conduct 65,000 service projects each year, serving six million young people. Optimists also spend $78 million on their communities annually.

The purpose of the Optimist Club of Great Falls, VA, is to develop “Optimism” as a philosophy of life and to aid and encourage the youth of our community. We are a group of people that care about kids. Our members include people from every aspect of our community: business, civil service, social, educational, cultural, retirees, and young professionals. The club is open to all adults.
